As a professor/administrator, what kind of publications should I recommend?

As an invited “gatekeeper” for workademia.com, you can recommend student works as you see fit! …Professors that we’ve surveyed have suggested anywhere from all “A” papers in their classes to only the top few projects; depending on class size, grading technique as well as how you want to use the site to help encourage, reward and professionally recognize your students. Please Contact Us with further questions.

Do I still own any content I upload onto workademia.com?

Yes! Within our Terms of Service you will find that workademia.com only holds a very limited license of the content on our site; this is only so we are able to remove inappropriate content (e.g. severely obscene publications). We have no legal ability to sell or steal your publications!

Can I easily remove publications?

Yes! You can delete your publications at any time. Simply go to your “My Workademia” page and click the “delete” link next to the appropriate publication. Please note that you can re-post publications, but you will lose all associated ratings and comments.

What about plagiarism?

Workademia.com is registered and fully indexed with the industry leading plagiarism search tool, turnitin.com. Assuming your school has a turnitin.com license, our publications will be part of any plagiarism search that is performed. In addition, workademia.com has a Report Abuse option that allows any user to inform us of potentially plagiarized (or inappropriate) content.

To be clear, the most severe action workademia.com will take is removal of the flagged publication -if and only if a violation is determined. For workademia.com contributors who may be concerned about “accidental plagiarism” (e.g. not citing a source), you will not be subject to additional legal considerations since workademia.com will always comply with verified “cease and desist” requests.
